Counselling

Individual Counselling Online, Australia-Wide

You do not have to be in crisis to talk to someone. Most people come to Anytime Counselling because something has been building for a while — the exhaustion sleep does not fix, the thoughts that will not stop, the sense of holding too much for too long. You choose your counsellor from qualified Australian practitioners, book a time that suits, and take the session wherever you feel comfortable.

What individual counselling helps with

  • Anxiety, worry, and overthinking
  • Depression and persistent low mood
  • Burnout and sustained work pressure
  • Grief and loss
  • Relationship difficulties and communication
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Low self-esteem and confidence
  • Boundaries, life transitions, and feeling stuck

What to expect

Sessions run up to 60 minutes by phone or video — your choice, and you can change it session to session. There is no referral, no mental health care plan, and no diagnosis required to start. You are free to switch counsellors at any time if someone else would be a better fit; that is treated as normal, not awkward.

Questions about individual counselling

Do I need a GP referral or a mental health care plan?

No. Counsellors are not covered by Medicare the way psychologists are, which means no referral, no care plan, no diagnosis and no drawn-out intake process. You can book directly.

Can I choose my own counsellor?

Yes. You read the profiles of our Australian-based counsellors and pick the person who feels like the right fit, rather than being allocated whoever is available. If it is not working, you can switch at any time.

Phone or video?

Whichever you prefer. Some people want to see a face, others would rather talk it through on a walk. Both work, and you can change your mind between sessions.
